DANIEL PASSON (HE/HIM)

STAFF ATTORNEY

Dan Passon joined DC Affordable Law Firm in June 2023 and represents clients in probate and family law matters. Dan graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in political science, after which he worked for Catholic Charities in his hometown of Monroe, Michigan.

At Georgetown University Law Center, Dan pursued his commitment to public interest legal advocacy by serving as a Fair and Just Prosecution Fellow at the Office of the Philadelphia District Attorney, representing clients before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and externing at the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.  As a student attorney in the Housing Advocacy and Litigation Clinic, he earned the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award.  He also worked as a research assistant for Professors Paul Butler and Scott Hempling and served as the Articles Editor for the Georgetown Law Technology Review. After graduating from law school magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, Dan clerked at both D.C. Superior Court and the Supreme Court of Maryland.  He then served as legislative counsel and Acting and Deputy Committee Director for the D.C. Council’s Committee on Human Services before joining DCALF.
