OPEN HORIZON DCALF HEIRS’ PROPERTY AND ESTATE PLANNING FELLOW AND ASSOCIATE

Trinity Holt joined DC Affordable Law Firm (DCALF) as a member of the class of 2026–2028 Open Horizon Heirs’ Property and Estate Planning Fellowship program. She is excited to return to DCALF and help families navigate probate, estate planning, and heirs’ property matters so they can protect their property for future generations.

Trinity graduated from Howard University School of Law in 2026. At Howard, she served as a student attorney in the Estate Planning and Heirs’ Property Clinic, where she drafted wills and powers of attorney, interviewed and counseled clients, and contributed to outreach and policy work aimed at preventing land loss. As a summer law clerk with DCALF, she assisted with client intake and estate planning documents and wrote research memoranda on probate, estate planning, and heirs’ property issues. She also worked as a legal intern with Cecilia R. Jones & Associates PLLC, researching case law and drafting pleadings, motions, and contracts, and with Delta Sigma Theta’s Office of the General Counsel and Legal Compliance, where she analyzed legal claims, worked on regulatory compliance, and drafted licensing agreements.

Before Howard University School of Law, Trinity earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University in 2024. As a member of Howard’s inaugural B.A./J.D. program, she completed her undergraduate studies in three years and began her first year at Howard University School of Law during what would otherwise have been her fourth undergraduate year.
