SALEH ALI (HE/HIM)

DCALF FELLOW

Saleh Ali joined DC Affordable Law Firm in August 2025. He graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with his J.D. in May 2025 and is currently continuing his education by pursuing an L.L.M. in Advocacy, also at Georgetown Law. His commitment to public interest work was formed through experiencing first-hand how impactful direct client services and affordable legal representation can be for underserved communities.

As a J.D. student at Georgetown University Law Center, Saleh served as both a Student Attorney and Research Assistant for the Health Justice Alliance Law Clinic where he advocated on behalf of DC families facing significant housing and civil rights issues. Saleh also worked with the Public Justice Center where he conducted legal research to assist attorneys on cases involving wage theft and access to public benefits. Additionally, he assisted the first-year legal research and writing course as a Law Fellow by providing substantive feedback on students’ writing and conducting individualized meetings to review their work. Finally, while serving as a Law Clerk for the Federal Torts Claims Act Section of the Department of Justice, Saleh investigated administrative tort claims and provided recommendations to the Branch Director regarding settlement and denial options.

Before attending law school, Saleh graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2019, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in Political Science. As an undergraduate student, Saleh interned with the WATCH project and monitored over 100 court proceedings to help ensure the legal response to gender-based violence better serves survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
