RILEY SMITH (SHE/HER)
DCALF FELLOW
Riley Smith joined DC Affordable Law Firm in August 2025. Riley graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2025. During law school, Riley participated in a wide variety of experiences to enhance her exposure to areas of legal practice, including through work on impact litigation, class action lawsuits, and within the federal government. However, her experience working directly with clients became her true passion. Riley especially enjoyed doing pro bono work for clients undergoing eviction and navigating the probate process.
Riley has a particular passion for working with older clients, which she developed first as an intern for a legal aid organization doing eviction defense in her hometown of Pittsburgh. She appreciated the opportunity to provide a listening ear to the clients she was supporting. Following this experience, Riley continued her passion for supporting seniors through her work with a civil rights organization dedicated to protecting the rights of older Americans.
Riley is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Advocacy with Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to attending Georgetown, Riley graduated from the College of Wooster with a degree in political science.
