PATRICE WEDDERBURN (SHE/HER)
ASSOCIATE TRAINING AND LL.M. DIRECTOR (GEORGETOWN LAW SENIOR DIRECTOR FOR CLINICS)
Patrice Wedderburn is Georgetown Law’s Senior Director of Clinical Programs. She facilitates the effective and efficient operations of the largest in-house clinical program in the nation and the largest non-profit legal services provider in the District of Columbia. She also serves as the first point of contact for students before and during their clinical experience. Additionally, she teaches seminars in both the Externship program and the Housing Advocacy and Litigation Clinic.
Prior to coming to Georgetown, for over a decade, Patrice helped children, parents, and government clients solve legal problems through creative, competent and compassionate legal representation. A trained social worker and systems thinker, Patrice looks at the big picture and is passionate about working with clients to find the most effective ways to achieve their goals. Patrice is a published author and active in her community, including serving on the Board of Directors of Reach Incorporated, a local literacy based non-profit focused on developing confident readers and capable leaders.
Professor Wedderburn received her B.A. in Politics with a concentration in Poverty Studies from Washington & Lee University. She received her Masters in Social Work from Boston College with a focus on Community Organizing, Policy, Planning and Administration, and her J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.
