PROBATE AND ESTATE PLANNING SUPERVISING ATTORNEY

Marcia Hollingsworth re-joined DC Affordable Law Firm in August 2026 as a Supervising Attorney in the Probate and Estate Planning Practice. Marcia supervises DCALF fellows and represents clients in probate and estate planning matters. She previously served as a DCALF Family Law Supervising Attorney between 2022 and early 2024.

Marcia has dedicated her legal career to providing client-centered, zealous representation and advocacy to underserved individuals and families in the District of Columbia (District), and to mentoring attorneys new to public interest and direct legal services practice. 

Prior to re-joining DCALF, Marcia was an Assistant Attorney General with the District of Columbia’s Office of Attorney General (OAG’s) within OAG’s Public Advocacy Division, where she promoted the rights of District residents through civil enforcement actions. Prior to OAG and her time with DCALF as a Family Law Supervising Attorney, Marcia worked at various legal services organizations in the District serving hundreds of clients in public benefits and family law matters. Marcia has trained and mentored legal interns, pro bono attorneys, and community members, in family, public benefits, and consumer protection law.

Marcia graduated magna cum laude from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), and holds a B.S. in Sociology.
