DCALF FELLOW

Julia Byrne joined DC Affordable Law Firm in August 2025. Julia is excited to join DCALF in their work to address the access to justice gap facing Washingtonians of modest income.

Julia graduated cum laude from the University of Chicago, where she majored in Public Policy Studies and minored in Human Rights. Julia graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center with a J.D. in 2025. At Georgetown, Julia worked as a research assistant and as a student attorney for the Health Justice Alliance Law Clinic, where she helped clients address several of their unmet legal needs, including issues affecting their housing conditions and public benefits. During law school, Julia also volunteered at the D.C. Superior Court Family Law Self-Help Center and at the Family Law Assistance Network with the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. Julia was recognized as a Special Pro Bono Pledge Honoree for providing over 100 hours of pro bono services.

Julia is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Advocacy with Georgetown University Law Center.
