ABBY SWEENEY (SHE/HER)

DCALF FELLOW AND ASSOCIATE

Abby Sweeney joined DC Affordable Law Firm as a member of the class of 2026-2027 Signature LL.M. Fellowship Program. She is excited to join DCALF to contribute to its mission of providing accessible legal services to the DC community.

Abby graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2026. At Georgetown, she served as a student attorney in the Rising For Justice Housing Advocacy and Litigation Clinic, where she represented low-income tenants facing eviction. This experience reinforced her passion for providing direct services to clients who would otherwise go without legal assistance. She also participated in internships that allowed her to gain exposure to various areas of public interest law, including federal employment discrimination litigation and child welfare proceedings in the DC Superior Court.

Before law school, Abby attended The George Washington University, where she earned a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science.
