Executive Director Gabby Mulnick Majewski Recognized

WASHINGTON, DC — DC Affordable Law Firm (DCALF) is excited to share the great news that DC Affordable Law Firm's Executive Director, Gabrielle (Gabby) Mulnick Majewski, has been recognized by the Washington Business Journal in their annual 40 Under 40 Awards.

Gabby joined DC Affordable Law Firm in January 2020 as its first paid Executive Director, taking up the mantle from a founding team of volunteers who first established DCALF seven years ago. Throughout the past two years, and despite the challenges the pandemic wrought on our community, Gabby has led DCALF to increasing success.

In the past two-and-a-half years that Gabby has been Executive Director, the number of DCALF lawyers and staff has increased over a third, and the composition of the staff has continued to diversify. For the first time since the organization’s founding, the majority of new lawyers in our incoming class are people of color. We have more than a dozen community-based, philanthropic, and corporate partnerships. These efforts have deepened DCALF’s impact, doubled the number of clients served, and helped DCALF to achieve its mission of helping hard working Washingtonians of modest means have excellent legal representation when they need it the most.

These last few years have only heightened the need for DCALF within the DC community, and Gabby has proven to be a champion of this work, finding solutions to serve our clients in a way that accounts for the economic realities so many are facing.

As a DCALF supporter, Board Chair, and friend to Gabby, I congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition and thank her for her dedication to our mission and our city.
