Family Law Assistance Network Bilingual Intake Coordinator

DC Affordable Law Firm (“DCALF”) seeks a full-time English/Spanish bilingual Intake Coordinator for the
Family Law Assistance Network (commonly known as “FLAN”), a cross-organization rapid-response
family law network comprised of attorneys from DC Affordable Law Firm, The Legal Aid Society of the
District of Columbia, and the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. Since FLAN’s inception in March 2020, FLAN has
served more than 1,500 DC residents, with, on average, more than one dozen individuals seeking
assistance each week. FLAN receives telephonic and email requests and referrals for assistance from
community members, D.C. Superior Court, and community-based organizations. The selected candidate
must have relevant prior experience in client intake and be comfortable serving as the front-line intake
person for individuals navigating family law issues, including child custody, child support, contested

divorce, and parentage cases.

Supervising Immigration Attorney

DC Affordable Law Firm (“DCALF”) seeks a Supervising Attorney who is enthusiastic about leading and
shaping our immigration practice, bolstering the work of our 15-person legal team, supporting our race
equity initiatives, and fostering new approaches to enhance the impact and evolution of our growing
organization. The Supervising Attorney must be fluent in Spanish and English. The Supervising Attorney
will demonstrate a commitment to stewarding the growth and professional development of recent law
graduates as they enter the legal profession while ensuring delivery of high quality legal services. They
will work in partnership with DCALF’s leadership to drive an equitable, open, collaborative work
environment, legal operations, and case management practices. The Supervising Attorney will work as a
front-line supervisor and guide attorneys at regular case review meetings, provide feedback to
supervisees on case strategy, filings, and other work product in addition to co-counseling cases as
appropriate. The Supervising Attorney will model and advance client-centered and trauma-informed
practices. They will also support fellows and supervising associates on their immigration caseload
management and performing legal consultations and screenings. The Supervising Attorney will be
responsible for administrative and management tasks including ensuring timekeeping and compliance

with case management and recordkeeping.

DC Affordable Law Firm (“DCALF”) seeks its first-ever Development Manager to create and implement a
fundraising strategy for a young, growing, and thriving nonprofit law firm. This is a great position for
someone looking to manage their own fundraising office for the first time with the support of a retained

Development Consultant.

The Development Manager will report to the Executive Director and collaborate with DCALF staff and
Board of Directors to diversify and grow the organization’s $2.1 annual budget. Successful applicants will
be strategic, creative, have strong writing experience, and will have the capacity and willingness to

manage all aspects of a development office.
