SARAH OTTONE (SHE/HER)

SUPERVISING ATTORNEY

Sarah Ottone joined DC Affordable Law Firm in October 2020. Sarah came to DCALF with a background in assisting survivors of intimate partner violence and abuse. At DCALF, she represents clients in family law and supervises an array of family law cases.

Sarah earned her B.A. and graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine, where she double majored in Criminology, Law and Society and Psychology and Social Behavior. As an undergraduate, Sarah worked with women seeking temporary restraining orders through the Orange County Family Justice Center. After college, she worked as a Judicial Administration Fellow at the Orange County Superior Court. Sarah earned her M.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from California State University, Long Beach in 2017. Her graduate research examined bail and pretrial decision-making in Orange County and Los Angeles.

Sarah started at Georgetown University Law Center in the fall of 2017. During law school, she interned in the public benefits unit at The Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, the family unit at Philadelphia Legal Assistance, and the Supplemental Security Income unit at Community Legal Services of Philadelphia. Sarah was a Public Interest Fellow and a student advocate in the Georgetown Law Domestic Violence Clinic. Sarah was recognized as a Special Pro Bono Pledge Honoree for providing over 100 hours of pro bono services to individuals and organizations in the District and Philadelphia.
