(SHE/HER)

Associate & DCALF Fellow

Sarah Devereaux Hardimon joined DCALF in August 2023. Sarah came to DCALF with a background in advocating for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Sarah received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a Blume Public Interest Scholar, a faculty research assistant, and an articles editor for the Georgetown Journal for Legal Ethics. While at Georgetown, she served as a student attorney in two clinical programs, where she represented tenants facing eviction in the Landlord-Tenant branch of the D.C. Superior Court and assisted asylum applicants in preparing U-visa applications and pre-hearing statements. Sarah worked as a legal intern with both the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights.

Prior to law school, Sarah worked as the Educational Programs Manager at a non-profit dedicated to funding public health research. Sarah received her B.A. in Gender and Women’s Studies from Pomona College. While at Pomona, Sarah responded to a sexual assault hotline, worked with campus leadership to create trauma-informed policies relating to sexual and gender-based violence, and represented survivors in campus hearings. She also completed internships with a domestic violence shelter and the D.C. Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
