DC AFFORDABLE LAW FIRM HIRES REBECCA GOLDFRANK AS FIRST FULL-TIME LEGAL DIRECTOR

WASHINGTON, DC — DC Affordable Law Firm (DCALF) is excited to announce they have hired Rebecca Goldfrank, formerly with Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition, as their first full-time Legal Director. Rebecca will start her tenure with DCALF on August 26, 2021.

Goldfrank has devoted her career to public service and worked with a range of legal services organizations in Washington, DC, for nearly seventeen years. She holds a law degree from American University, Washington College of Law, and began her legal career over twenty years ago as an investigator at the DC Public Defender Service. She is dedicated to increasing access to justice for those who need it most.

“I am thrilled to join the DCALF team as legal director. DCALF is an innovative organization with tremendous potential, reinvigorated yearly by smart, fresh, legal minds committed to zealous advocacy. I’ve devoted my legal career to public service, and joining DCALF is a way to continue on this path while focusing on three priorities: increasing access to justice, mentoring and cultivating lawyers engaged in low and pro bono legal services, and practicing law in DC Superior Court,” says Goldfrank.

In her new role as Legal Director, Goldfrank will bolster the daily work of DCALF’s 13-person legal team, support their race equity initiatives and help to foster new approaches to enhance the organization’s impact and evolution.

This is the first time DCALF will have a full-time legal director on staff as part of an expansion effort to meet the increasing demand for their services.
